Consul General of Kazakhstan in Kazan Yerkin Tukumov arrives in Bashkiria

UFA, 21 November 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. A delegation of the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Kazan headed by the Consul General Yerkin Tukumov will arrive in Ufa on an official visit on November 22.
The delegation includes representatives of the export insurance company “KazakhExport” in Russia and the Trade Representative Office of Kazakhstan in Kazan.
“The purpose of the visit is to develop bilateral relations in the trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, scientific and educational spheres,” Ilgizar Sanyarov, the press secretary of the State Committee RB for Foreign Economic Relations, told the Bashinform News Agency.
According to him, the delegation of the General Consulate will take part in the first international forum “Time to Export”, which opens in Ufa on November 23. In addition, meetings are scheduled with the leadership of Bashkortostan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry RB, the administration of Ufa and students from Kazakhstan studying at the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University.
The volume of foreign trade turnover between Bashkortostan and Kazakhstan in January-September 2018 amounted to 257.6 million US dollars. Kazakhstan now ranks fifth in the foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan with a share of 6.2%.
The share of exports of Bashkortostan to Kazakhstan is 93% or more than $ 240 million. These are mainly products of inorganic chemistry, rubber, petroleum products, wood products, metals, and glass.
Imports from Kazakhstan amounted to $ 17.5 million over the same period. Basically, these are metals and metal products, food products chemical industry and mechanical engineering products.
Currently, 58 organizations with the participation of Kazakhstan capital operate in the field of agriculture, wood processing, cargo transportation, law, tourism, security and the provision of financial services and consulting, construction and communications, software development, and trade in Bashkortostan.
In the 2017-2018 academic year, more than 800 students from Kazakhstan attended higher education institutions in Bashkortostan.
