Acting Head of Bashkiria and Federal Road Agency Head discussed transport system development of Bashkortostan

On November 20, a working meeting was held between the Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, and the head of the Federal Road Agency (Rosavtodor) Andrey Kostyuk in the framework of the 12th International Forum “Transport of Russia”.

According to the press service of the head RB, the parties discussed key areas of the Bashkiria transport system development with the attraction of financial resources from the federal center. It was about the prospects for the concession project implementation on the construction of the Eastern exit from Ufa and the reconstruction of the R-240 Ufa-Orenburg highway with the extension to four lanes bypassing the city of Sterlitamak. It was proposed to transfer a part of the Ufa - Airport highway starting from the bridge across the Belaya River to the interchange with the M-5 Ural to the federal ownership. The head of Rosavtodor positively assessed the announced initiatives and generally supported the position of the region.

Besides, Radiy Khabirov suggested Andrey Kostyuk considering applications for raising federal subsidies for the construction of two bridges across the Belaya River in Ufa - in the alignment of Vorovskaya and Internatsionalnaya Streets.
