Radiy Khabirov proposed to use local resources more actively for access roads

UFA, 19 November 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. There are many new neighborhoods that require access roads in Bashkiria. This issue was discussed at a briefing session in the government of the republic. The Acting Head of Bashkortostan proposed to use local materials more actively for the construction and repair of roads.

“It is gratifying that our localities are expanding. But, one issue arises wherever I come”, said Radiy Khabirov. “I must say that people thank us for the allocation of land, for connecting to gas and electricity mains. And everywhere there is a big problem with roads. They have to build knee-deep in mud when not just people but special equipment fails to get through. At the last meeting, we agreed to take quick and effective road filling measures. Let's help people to conduct construction. Moreover, we do not live in the Karakum Desert, we have plenty of rubble and gravel here”.

The State Transport Committee RB and the Ministry of Ecology RB prepared the information clarifying the question: municipal authorities can actually mine common minerals for their own needs. The roads on which these building materials are to be applied should be included in the list of local roads. There are no other obstacles to using the resource.

Radiy Khabirov ordered to draw up a “road map” for the construction and repair of access roads for each municipality until 2025.
