Uzbekistan official delegation arrives in Bashkiria

UFA, 13 November 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. A delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan will arrive with an official visit in the Bashkir capital on November 14. The delegation is headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation Botirjon Asadov.
The delegation includes the embassy staff, representatives of the authorities of Uzbekistan, the Bukhara and Namangan regions, as well as business circles. The purpose of the visit is to develop bilateral relations in the field of tourism.
“The program of the two-day visit includes participation in the promotional events “Travel to Uzbekistan!”, which will be held within the framework of the Ufa Hospitality and Travel Industry Forum”, the spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry in Ufa Vener Galiakbarov told the Bashinform News Agency.
Besides, meetings of the Uzbekistan delegation with the leadership of Bashkortostan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry RB, and Uzbekistan students studying at Bashkir State Medical University are planned.
The economic and tourist potential of Bashkortostan will be presented to the Uzbek guests and negotiations in the “B2B” format will be held.
In 2017, the foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan with Uzbekistan amounted to $ 65 million. The share of Uzbekistan in the foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan was 1.3%.
Uzbekistan ranks 15th among the 124 countries - trading partners of Bashkortostan, among the CIS countries - the fifth.
By the beginning of this year in Bashkortostan, there were more than 50 enterprises established with the participation of capital from Uzbekistan. The areas of activity of these enterprises were trade and restaurants, construction and housing and public utilities, real estate operations, legal services, food production, furniture, paper products, industrial equipment, automotive parts, metal products, textiles, as well as transport and woodworking.
