Ufa will expand to west and east - Strategy 2030

UFA, 12 November 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Ufa will expand along the west-east line, or towards Zabelye and Zaufimye areas. This is stated in the Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of the city until 2030. The possibilities of growth along the south-north line within the borders of the Ufa Peninsula are practically exhausted. Inside the peninsula, apartment buildings will appear in the Inors and Glumilino neighborhoods, in Chernikovka, and dilapidated neighborhoods in the southern historical part of Ufa will be developed. New residential areas will grow mainly in the suburban areas - Dema and Zaton. Low-rise buildings prevail in Zaufimye, here housing construction depends on the development of utilities and roads neighborhoods. In the territory of Zabelye in the near future a construction of a number of residential areas "Zaton-Vostochny", "March 8", "Romanovka", "Yarkiy", the eastern part of the "Dema" residential neighborhood is planned.

By 2018, the population of Ufa has reached more than 1,131 million people. The current Master Plan assumed that the number of Ufa residents of 1,130 million people will be reached only by 2025. Thus, housing availability in Ufa is 23.7 square meters per person with a lower value of 25 square meters. According to this indicator, the capital of Bashkortostan takes then the last place among million-plus cities, the document states.
