New Ufa trolleybuses will transport residents of Tatarstan

The Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant (UTTZ) won its first tender for the supply of 10 trolleybuses to the city of Almetyevsk (Tatarstan). According to the company’s CEO, Denis Rassadnikov, two companies participated in the competition: the Ufa plant represented by the dealer JSC “Vostokvtotrans” and the Saratov manufacturer “Trolza” CJSC represented by JSC “TD Trolza Market”.

Low floor trolleybuses with an independent running and dynamic recharging will be supplied to Almetyevsk. Due to this features, the trolleybus can cover a distance of several tens of kilometers without the overhead system, that is, it can continue moving like an electric bus. The charge of the independent running system is made during the movement under the overhead system.

Its passenger capacity is more than 100 people.

The UTTZ was established in 2015. It is included in the industrial group uniting manufacturing enterprises in various industries. Also, UTTZ bought out the assets of the bankrupt LLC “Bashkir Trolleybus Plant”. The main partner of the project is PJSC “NEFAZ”, which manufactures bodies for the production of UTTZ trolleybuses.
