Oil companies cancel fuel discounts for corporate clients - media

Major oil companies have found a way to indirectly increase the retail price of gasoline and diesel at their gas stations. Since June of this year, they have begun to actively reduce or even cancel discounts for corporate customers on fuel cards. Now the terms may worsen even more: customers are promised to introduce “service charges” for using fuel cards, Kommersant has found out.

According to the newspaper's sources, Gazprom Neft was the first company to introduce charges instead of discounts for corporate clients on fuel cards. As follows from a letter of EKA Processing Director General (EKA division, owns 90 gas stations in Moscow) Evgeniy Chertkov to their clients, Gazprom Neft, as a partner of EKA changed the financial terms of the cards due to the unstable market situation.

In turn, retailers and cargo carriers complain massively about the increase in fuel costs, promising to include them in the price of their services, which should also lead to a rise in prices for goods and products transported.

Meanwhile, the prices of gasoline and diesel fuel in Ufa continue to remain at the same level, states Bashkortostan Statistics Agency.

According to a sample of weekly monitoring, in October the average price per liter of 92 RON gasoline in the capital of Bashkiria was 40.59 rubles; 95 RON - 43.63 rubles, 98 RON - 47.87 rubles.

A liter of diesel fuel costs Ufa residents 43.85 rubles.

In May of this year, the price of gasoline increased in Bashkiria six times.
