Radiy Khabirov instructed Agriculture Ministry to form system protecting Bashkir honey reputation

Radiy Khabirov instructed the Minister of Agriculture of Bashkortostan Ilshat Fazrakhmanov to form a system to protect the reputation of the Bashkir honey. It was caused by the information on the Internet that allegedly the Bashkir honey sold in Krasnoyarsk was considered the worst among others and did not correspond to numerous indicators of product quality. According to the rating compiled by the Krasnoyarsk Regional Center for Standardization, Metrology, and Testing, natural Bashkir honey, produced by the Bashkir Beekeeping and Apitherapy Research Center, ranked last, 13th among the sweet product samples produced in other regions of Russia. The information was published on the official website of the center.

Amir Ishemgulov, Director General of the Bashkir Beekeeping and Apitherapy Research Center, states that the institution did not supply honey to the region and that it was here that in the past years counterfeit honey was sold under the “Bashkir honey” name. According to him, such an aggressive policy is connected with the Apimondia world congress to be hosted by Ufa in 2021 in order to slander the high quality of Bashkir honey. The institution filed a claim with the Arbitration Court on the protection of its business reputation against the “State Regional Center for Standardization, Metrology, and Testing” in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

The Minister of Agriculture RB Ilshat Fazrakhmanov told the Bashinform Agency that in connection with this and other cases compromising the quality of Bashkir honey, the republic would form its system to protect the reputation of the main brand of the region.
