Radiy Khabirov: We are proud of our farmers’ achievements

The volume of agricultural production this year reached almost 120 billion rubles. By this indicator, the republic consistently occupies the leading position in the Volga Federal District. The republic won 166 medals at the recent All-Russian Exhibition “Golden Autumn”, of which more than half were gold. However, as the Acting Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, said at a gala night dedicated to the Agricultural Workers Day, there was a considerable potential for further growth.

This year, 5.8 billion rubles were invested in the agricultural complex. The republic will increase the volume of subsidies for the purchase of modern agricultural machinery. Since the beginning of 2018, farms have purchased 1,400 units of agricultural machinery and it is important that it is produced in the republic. Thus, the other day assembling of «Belarus» tractors was launched the "Bashselhoztekhnika" company.

According to the Acting Head of the region, today it is important to arrange effective business projects in the agro-industrial complex, to focus on the cooperative business in small forms, support for income-generating projects and agricultural clusters and farms.

“We have an opportunity to supply abroad our branded products including honey, meat delicacies, and halal products. Bashkortostan should be positioned as a territory of natural and environmentally friendly food products”, said Radiy Khabirov.

The republic will strengthen its position among the leaders of agricultural production. The head of the republic believes that it is necessary to improve the training of sought-after specialists, to promote more widely the experience of successful farms, to introduce modern forms of agribusiness. And the main thing is to create new jobs in rural areas, to increase the incomes of the villagers, to improve their living and working conditions.

According to Radiy Khabirov, despite the problems, there are many enterprising people in the countryside developing their business. He gave an example of a sheep-breeding cluster in Zianchurino district as such project.

“I once again come to the conclusion that hard-working, open, responsible and sincere people live in our villages and towns,” said Radiy Khabirov, congratulating the farmers of the republic on their professional holiday.
