More than eight million doses of insulin for children will be purchased in Bashkiria

The Ministry of Economic Development of Bashkiria has published a tender for the purchase of 8 million 449 thousand 500 doses of insulin glargine solution for subcutaneous administration, the concentration of the active substance is 100 units/ml. The drug is purchased exclusively for children under 18 years.

The contract value is 19.8 million rubles. Applications are accepted until November 12, the auction will take place on November 19. The purchase will be financed from the republican budget.

The first batch of insulin must be delivered within 14 days from the date of signing the contract, but not earlier than December 25, 2018; subsequent delivered to be made quarterly from the 1st to the 15th day of the last month of the quarter. The last delivery is from September 1 to September 15, 2019.

The contract will be valid until December 25, 2019.

Recall that in early October, the media reported on the use of expired insulin at the Republican Children’s Clinical Hospital. The regional investigative department initiated a criminal case on the fact of the negligence of unidentified officials of the Equipment and Material Procurement Directorate of the Ministry of Health of Bashkortostan, as well as an inadequate performance of official duties when purchasing the insulin glargine medication.
