65.5 thousand tons of “new crop” sugar is produced in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, three sugar factories - in Chishmy, Meleuz, Raevka, produced 65.5 thousand tons of sugar from beetroot of the new harvest, the Ministry of Agriculture RB reports. To date, enterprises processed 460 thousand tons of root crops. Preparation and processing of raw materials continue: more than 1.3 million tons of sugar beet have been accumulated in the region. The average yield this year is 307 centners per hectare (as last year). At the end of the harvest, it is projected to harvest at least 1.5 million tons of root crops.
