Radiy Khabirov discussed further cooperation with Lasselsberger Company founder

UFA, 25 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov met with the founder of Lasselsberger Company, Josef Lasselsberger. The parties discussed prospects for the development of cooperation, the progress of the company's investment projects in the region, the press service of the head of the republic reported.

Currently, one of the largest European ceramic tile manufacturing plants, Lasselsberger Ceramics, operates in Ufa. Its annual capacity is 10 million square meters of tiles.

According to Josef Lasselsberger, the company plans to double the annual production to 20 million square meters.

Next year the necessary equipment will be ordered. Construction and installation works are scheduled for completion in 2020.

Radiy Khabirov proposed to the republican Government to consider a possibility of including this investment project in the number of priority ones.

Another large investment project of the company is being implemented in Abzelilovo district - a construction of a plant for the production of dry building mixes. The project envisages the creation of workshops for the production of white cement with a capacity of 200 thousand tons per year, micro calcite (grinded limestone) with a capacity of 100 thousand tons per year, as well as a shop for the preparation and packaging of building mixtures with a capacity of 300 thousand tons per year.

“Many regions competed for this project, but we have decided to stay in Bashkortostan,” said Josef Lasselsberger. “We have a good relationship with the leadership of the republic. We see that here the leadership is committed to cooperation, prompt resolution of the difficulties encountered. In short, this is a good territory for our development”.

In addition, the meeting discussed the implementation of the investment agreement, the obligations of the parties. Thus, the republic has already provided the power supply for the facility for the period of construction in the amount of not less than 2 MW. In the future, it is planned to provide the plant with the power of 14 MW, to supply gas, to build a highway. The branch railway line necessary for the successful operation of the plant is supposed to be built on co-financing terms.

As part of the implementation of the first stage of the project, the volume of investments will exceed 2 billion rubles, at least 220 jobs will be created.

The Acting Head of the region underlined that attracting investment was one of the main tasks of his work. Radiy Khabirov noted that Bashkortostan was expecting for new interesting projects from the company, and assured that the republican government would actively assist in their implementation.
