Small Business Forum of SCO and BRICS Regions outcome was signing of 150 agreements in Ufa

In the unanimous opinion of the participants, the fourth forum of Small Business Forum of SCO and BRICS Regions in Ufa was a success. This was announced at a briefing on the results of the Ufa Forum by the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce of Russia Vladimir Padalko.

“Unanimously, and there were no less than no less than 1600 people here in two days - the forum was a success, and Bashkortostan can absolutely be proud of its international venue”, stated the Vice-President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. “Among the commercial contracts concluded at the forum is a pig-breeding project, in the implementation of which companies from Russia, Kazakhstan, and China will take part. The cost of the project is $ 20 million, and there have been a few discussed projects like this one. Actually, this forum is configured to generate such projects. Total, more than 150 agreements, and contracts were signed on the sidelines of the Small Business Forum of SCO and BRICS Regions-2018 in Ufa”.

As Vladimir Padalko underlined at a meeting with journalists, in terms of the number, nature, and themes of the roundtables, the 2018 Forum "exceeded all expectations, turned out to be more effective than all the previous ones".

And vice versa, among the shortcomings, the Vice-President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry called the insufficient forethought of the international agenda of the forum.

The fourth in a row Small Business Forum of SCO and BRICS Regions was held in Ufa from October 18 to 19. Representatives of 24 countries and 44 regions of Russia took part in its work.

The main goals of the forum are to create conditions for the accelerated development of entrepreneurship through building partnerships between companies from regions of the SCO and BRICS countries, as well as strengthening and developing interregional ties, attracting investment and increasing the number of joint business projects.
