Bashkiria won Grand Prix of Beekeeping International Congress in Turkey

Today, the 6th International Congress on Beekeeping and Pine Honey came to an end in the province of Mugla, Turkey. The Russian Federation was represented by the Bashkir Beekeeping and Apitherapy Research Center. Within the framework of the international congress, the general director of the center, Amir Ishemgulov, delivered a speech on the preparations for the 47th International Beekeeping Congress Apimondia 2021 in Ufa. In particular, he said that it was planned to create the entire necessary infrastructure for the “Apimondia” International Congress in the republic: honey museums, honey villages, apiaries. The preparations for “Apimondia-2021” also imply the improvement of beekeeping facilities and adjacent territories, including the establishment of roadside service, roads, and demonstration sites. In particular, the Mrakovo-Starosubkhangulovo road will be overhauled and access roads to the Shulgan-Tash Cave will be equipped.
During the congress, roundtables, scientific conferences, and working sessions were held in the Turkish province of Mugla. Beekeepers from all around the world discussed issues related to the production and sale of honey, the influence of ecology on bees, expansion of industrial honey production, a place and role of beekeeping in the development of agriculture.
According to the results of the event, Bashkortostan was awarded the highest award - the Grand Prix of the Congress.
