UFA, 18 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The 4th Forum of Small Business of the Regions of the SCO and BRICS member states opened at the Ufa Congress Hall. 1400 people from 24 countries of the world and 40 constituent entities of the Russian Federation participate in its work. Among them, there is a Governor of the Indonesian province of West Java Ridwan Kamil and a Governor of the Iranian province of Markazi Seyed Ali Aahazadeh.
As the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Rustem Mardanov emphasized, due to this forum, over the past three years, the number of those engaged in entrepreneurship had increased by 13,500 people in Bashkortostan. At the same time, a significant part of the foreign trade turnover falls on the share of entrepreneurs from the SCO and BRICS member countries.
For two days, the forum participants will have an intense business program. In addition to the plenary session, it includes a business contacts exchange, presentations, and exhibitions of business representatives, as well as roundtables and expert sessions in various areas.
Among the topics discussed are the existing forms for entrepreneurs support in the regions of Russia and other countries, the presentation of the existing forms for exports and imports support, the development of techno and industrial parks, participation in trade and exhibition events.
As noted by the head of the Investment Policy Department of the Ministry of Economic Development RF Milena Arslanova, the Small Business Forum of the SCO and BRICS Regions in Ufa is a good opportunity to exchange experience and proposals for further successful development.
According to her, this will be greatly facilitated by laws currently being adopted at the federal level, aimed at developing and supporting entrepreneurship in the regions. Thus, next year the beneficial financing of small and medium-sized businesses will amount to 1 trillion rubles. This amount will increase by 100-200 billion rubles with each subsequent year.
The closest attention is planned to be paid to the development of rural consumer cooperation, as well as the promotion of entrepreneurship among different segments of the Russian population. At the same time, special emphasis in educational programs will be made on people of pre-retirement age who would like to study entrepreneurship, Milena Arslanova summed up.
