Bashkiria delegation is studying experience of Russian Direct Investment Fund

UFA, 9 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. In Moscow, the official delegation of Bashkortostan participates in the forum “Investing in the Regions - Investing in the Future” to study the experience of the Russian Direct Investment Fund.

As the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development RB emphasized, the forum is a unique platform for interaction between representatives of government bodies, development institutions, business, and the international investment community.

The Bashkir delegation includes the Prime Minister of the Republican Government, representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, the Development Corporation RB.

Among the topics discussed at the forum are an assessment of the investment climate in the country, trends in foreign direct investment, the role of regions and development institutions in working with investors, conditions and incentives for localizing production in the regions. Issues of development of federal and regional legislation to improve investment conditions, to enhance international cooperation, and create competitive advantages due to regional specifics were also considered.

As reported at the forum, the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) will create a project office to attract foreign investment in the country's regions.

The project office of the Agency for Attracting Foreign Investment in the subjects of the Russian Federation will train regional teams the best practices and effective tools for working with investors.

Participants of the project office will also be engaged in expanding the international partner network using business associations and the infrastructure of the foreign missions of Russia. In turn, Russian entrepreneurs will be able to participate in international investment and industry events, the Ministry of Economic Development of Bashkortostan reports.
