Technopolis to be created in Bashkortostan

UFA, 8 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. A Technopolis will appear in Bashkortostan. The meeting on the project for the creation of the Science and Technology Center was held by the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov. This was announced at a briefing session by the Prime Minister of the Government of the region Rustem Mardanov.

According to Rustem Mardanov, the Technopolis will be opened in a building previously owned by the BETO concern. Now part of the premises here is occupied by Bashkir State University.

“The idea is to form a full-fledged Technopolis here,” said Rustem Mardanov. “It was decided to form the most state-of-the-art concept with the involvement of the best Russian, and if necessary, international specialists who already have experience in creating such technopolises.”

Earlier, the Head of Bashkortostan has already said that it is planned to locate an innovation center in the building of the former factory of telephone equipment.

Technopolises - platforms that combine science with production, education with production work, gradually emerge in the leading cities of Russia. They include laboratories, research centers, research institutions, and educational institutions.
