Tour operators announced about RossTour’s plans to stop operation

UFA, 5 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. "RossTour" Booking Center is going to cease operations as a tour operator, reports TASS with reference to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).

According to ATOR, RossTour will announce its decision on October 5 or 8. At the same time, the company intends to continue its agency activities.

On October 3, ATOR reported that the problems of the RossTour Booking Center, with which four major Russian tour operators, Pegas Touristik, Coral Travel, Sunmar, and Intourist, suspended cooperation, could be related to deadlines for payments.

RossTour is formally a tour operator: information about it is entered into the unified federal register, ERV company provided financial guarantees for 50 million rubles. In fact, this is a booking center, and “sales offices” are travel agencies that bought tours of other tour operators for their clients through it.

The list of RossTour "offices" includes more than 400 agencies in 161 cities, including Ufa.
