Gasoline cost remains unchanged in Ufa

UFA, 5 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Prices for gasoline and diesel fuel in Ufa continue to remain at the same level, Bashkortostan Statistics Agency states.

According to selective weekly monitoring, the average price per liter of 92 RON gasoline in the capital of Bashkiria is 40.59 rubles; 95 RON- 43.63 rubles, 98 RON - 47.87 rubles.

A liter of diesel fuel costs 43.85 rubles for Ufa residents.

Recall that in May of this year, the price of gasoline increased in Bashkiria six times.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has approved a scheme to subsidize the price of gasoline and diesel fuel, which oil companies have argued with the Finance Ministry over the past weeks, RBC reports today.

Medvedev supported a proposal of the oil industry and the Ministry of Energy to increase the budget subsidy for fuel (the subsidy mechanism - the so-called damping premium - should operate since 2019). At the same time, the Prime Minister supported the Ministry of Finance, which, in response to the initiatives of the oil industry, proposed financing part of the subsidy by increasing the mineral extraction tax for the entire industry.
