Russian Railways plans to invest more than 18 billion rubles in Bashkortostan
UFA, 3 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Russian Railways (RZD) is planning to invest more than 18 billion rubles in infrastructure facilities in Bashkiria until 2021.
It is reported by TASS with reference to the deputy head of the Kuibyshev Railway (branch of Russian Railways) Sergei Blokhin.
“In the next 3-4 years, we are planning to allocate more than 18 billion rubles of investments to strengthen the infrastructure - the development of transport hubs, the energy sector, and the renewal of rolling stock,” TASS reports.
In 2017, more than 1.7 billion rubles were spent on the modernization of the railway infrastructure in the region. 78.6 km of railway lines were repaired with these funds, 44 turnouts were replaced, shadow canopies were installed on 88 railway platforms.
