Allowance for children maintenance in foster families will be increased in Bashkiria

Since January 1, 2019, the size of the monthly allowance for the maintenance of children placed in foster care and foster families, the remuneration of foster and foster families, as well as allowance for children placed under guardianship and trusteeship will be increased by 4 percent in Bashkiria.

The corresponding bill on amending the existing laws was approved at a meeting of the Presidium of the Republican Government on October 2.

As the Minister of Education of Bashkortostan Gulnaz Shafikova stressed at the meeting, the bill was focused on several goals. Among them there is encouraging the development of family forms of care for orphans and children left without parents; implementation of social support measures for citizens who have adopted children deprived of parental care in the family; financial encouragement to foster parents, as well as strengthening measures of social support for orphans and children left without parental care.

Financial support in 2019 will amount to 65.8 million rubles. The funds are provided by the draft Law “On the budget of the Republic of Bashkortostan for 2019 and for the planned period of 2020 and 2021”.
