Unemployment rate in Bashkiria is lower than Russian average

The unemployment rate in Bashkortostan, according to the average figures for July-August, is 4.5% with a target of 5.5%. The Prime Minister Rustem Mardanov stated this at a briefing session of the Government RB.

"It should be noted that for the same period in 2017 this parameter was at the level of 5.6%. For the first time since the beginning of this year, the unemployment rate in Bashkortostan has become lower than the national average (4.6%)", Rustem Mardanov said.

Also in the region, there is a significant decrease in registered unemployment: the target figure is -1.8%, the actual result for Bashkiria in August 2018 is 0.94%.

"Measures to reduce the level of unemployment will be continued. It will concern many ministries and departments in the field of interaction in the field of employment. New technologies will be developed in the sphere of labor productivity and employment services", the prime minister said.

Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported on the number of unemployed residents of the republic according to the employment service of the population.
