Eastern exit from Ufa will be payable for motorists

The project of a new exit from Ufa connecting federal routes M-5 and M-7 will be paid for motorists. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Chairman of the State Committee of Bashkortostan for Transport and Roads Timur Mukhametianov.

"It will be fully toll road. Currently, 1.2 billion of the republic has already been allocated for the implementation of this project, work is underway from our side, we are expecting an appropriate support from the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation", the agency reports.

The authorities of the region expect co-financing from the federal budget.

The total costs for the project "Eastern Exit" are estimated at 34 billion rubles during 2018-2021. It involves the completion of the construction of a 1.2 km long road tunnel, begun in 1992, the construction of a 2,5 km bridge crossing, the 14 km motor road adjacent to the federal highway M-5 Ural, the charging points, a traffic management system and the construction of a specialized road maintenance company.

Earlier it became known that the construction will resume by the end of 2018.
