Bashkiria takes 57th place in country in terms of wage growth

UFA, 25 September 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The rating of the regions of Russia in terms of wage growth has been compiled. According to RIA Rating, Bashkiria took the 57th line.

In the republic, the average wage was 27,897 rubles according to the data for the first half of the year, with an increase of 9.7% over the same period of the last year. At the same time, the purchasing power (the ratio of wages to a fixed set of goods and services) in the region was 2.03.

Experts note that revenues in the first half of 2018 increased in all regions of Russia, but the growth rates were significantly different. This is because the regions have different levels of wages and prices.

The highest wage growth was recorded in Ingushetia and Kemerovo region - 15.4% and 15.2%, respectively. The last place in the ranking went to the Republic of Mari El, where the average monthly nominal wage in March and May decreased by 1.5% and 3.9%. In the remaining months the indicator grew and by the results of the first half-year increased by 6.9%.

Analysts note that in Russia, the average monthly nominal wage increased by 11.2% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 42,555 rubles. The growth rate was the highest in the last five years.
