Bashkiria’s share in Top 500 major companies in Russia is 0.2%

Four enterprises of Bashkortostan are included in the new rating of 500 major companies in Russia according to RBC: three Ufa and one Sterlitamak company. They account for 0.2% of the total revenue of the Russian Top 500 - 150 billion rubles.

Scientific Research Institute for Oil and Gas “Peton” is located at the end of the second hundred, at the 197th position. According to the results of 2017, its revenue amounted to 60 billion rubles, profit - 2.1 billion. The 212th place is occupied by JSC "Bashkir Soda Company", Sterlitamak (revenue - 52 billion rubles, profit - 9.8 billion). The 483rd position is taken by CJSC Ufaoil (revenue - 19 billion rubles, profit - 102 million). PJSC Vostokneftezavodmontazh is at the 485th line of the rating (revenue - 19 billion rubles, profit - 143 million).

The main loss of Bashkortostan in the new Top-500 is Bashneft, which in the previous rating ranked high 23rd position. The company’s merging with Rosneft redistributed resources and lowered the financial results of the Bashkir oil company. These changes also affected the "Targin" Oilfield Services Holding. It is also not in the new Top-500, although in the previous one it was in the fourth hundred.

The lower limit for entering the rating this year was a turnover of 17.8 billion rubles. The total revenue of all 500 enterprises of the rating increased by 9% over the year and reached 72.3 trillion rubles. 68% of the revenue is concentrated in Moscow. This is much more than the share of the region that is the next - the Krasnodar Territory (4%).

Uneven development is intensifying, since the 1990-s, the Moscow's share in the total GRP of all regions is growing, and "differentiation will grow if nothing is done with regional development", RBC's director of the Center for Regional Reform Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Deryugin considers.
