SCO and BRICS Small Business Forum will promote awareness of Bashkortostan - Rustem Khamitov

UFA, 18 September 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The holding of Small Business Forums of the Regions of the SCO and BRICS member states in Bashkortostan contributes to raising awareness of our republic. This was stated by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov at a press conference, which was held today in TASS.
"The forum gives a powerful impetus to the entire business community of the republic. Such events create the right background for the development of small and medium-sized businesses, form its significance and are a good experience", said Rustem Khamitov.
The head of the republic stressed that holding such forums outside the metropolitan regions contributes to the dynamic development of the territories.
"Moscow is superfluous in terms of forums. Petersburg is a very beautiful, interesting city, and is visited by millions of people. And what should be done in this part with the Russian remote areas, with the subjects of the Russian Federation?" stressed Rustem Khamitov. "All regions of Russia should be involved in this work. This is important for our country".
It should be reminded that in October Ufa will host the Fourth Small Business Forum of the Regions of the SCO and BRICS member states. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov initiated a creation of such a platform for interaction of entrepreneurs of the states included in these associations. This initiative was supported by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at the Summits of the SCO and the BRICS held in July 2015.
"This forum is in demand today by small, medium-sized and large business. There is a great interest in it", Rustem Khamitov noted. "During the three previous forums, more than 4 thousand participants visited our Ufa – representatives of 26 countries and 63 regions of the Russian Federation.
