Wage violations will not be put up with in Bashkortostan - Rustem Khamitov

UFA, 14 September 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The main priority of the Bashkortostan Government activity is the growth of living standards of the population. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov stated this at a meeting of the Republican Tripartite Commission for Regulation of Social and Labor Relations dedicated to the 25th anniversary of social partnership in the region.

“Over the past 10 years in the republic, by joint decision of the parties, the minimum wage has been increased three times, and ahead of the national average indicators,” the Head of Bashkortostan reminded. “Since 2013, the wages of public sector employees have been steadily growing in accordance with the May decrees of the President. The targets indicators are met by all 12 categories.”

Rustem Khamitov informed that last year it was possible to partially pay off and liquidate wage arrears in 233 organizations. The total amount of repaid debt was about 1.5 billion rubles.

“But this wage debt still exists, and we will not put up with this situation. By all means, we will do everything possible to ensure that people receive their wages. This is the most important thing", the head of the republic stressed.
