Unemployment rate fell five-fold in Bashkortostan - Rustem Khamitov

The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov reported this at a meeting of the Republican Tripartite Commission for Regulation of Social and Labor Relations, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of social partnership in the region.

"Currently, there are already about 50,000 vacancies for unemployed people", said the Head of Bashkortostan.

Rustem Khamitov stressed that the republic was taking measures to improve the situation of working women, as well as to create jobs, make an accessible environment for disabled people, and generally to assist in their inclusion in public life.

“Just compare: the level of employment of people with disabilities who applied to the employment service was 25 percent in 2008, and 60 percent in 2018. This is a significant progress, it testifies to the fact that we actually work completely differently than ten years ago", said the head of the region.
