Rustem Mardanov spoke about large investors benefits in Bashkortostan territory

UFA, 14 September 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. In 2018, in Bashkiria, tax privileges on special investment contracts will be introduced for major investors, the costs for purchasing equipment for industrial projects will be subsidized, and funds for the support of engineering infrastructure will be allocated in the republican targeted investment program. This was reported by the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Rustem Mardanov in an interview with the Interfax News Agency.
Companies that implement their projects on the Greenfield site will also be exempted from land tax.
Speaking about the "target" investors, Rustem Mardanov noted that Bashkortostan traditionally focused on the priority areas of the regional development: petrochemicals, oil industry, and chemistry, agribusiness.
Most of the projects in the sphere of oil refining are supposed to be implemented by Rosneft company. Within the framework of the projects, it is planned to modernize the existing oil refining complex in the republican territory to increase the oil refining depth and the yield of light oil products.
It also counted on the Gazprom's investments in Bashkiria. 13 objects of the holding are located in the territory of Bashkiria, including Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat LLC.
In 2017, a production of acrylic acid was launched here; the costs amounted to about 45 billion rubles. Currently, the construction of a catalytic cracking complex is nearing completion, and investments will amount to about 50 billion rubles.
"Our joint plans with Gazprom include construction of the largest gas chemical complex in the country, most likely, on the site of Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat. Now the project is under development, the volume of investments is estimated at more than $ 1 billion", Rustem Mardanov said.
Besides, the mining and metallurgical complex is also actively developing in the region, primarily in non-ferrous metallurgy. These are mainly the projects of UMMC-Holding in the territory of the ore base development. The cost of one of these projects in the Bashkir Trans-Urals exceeds 50 billion rubles. Additionally, the ferrous metallurgy also makes its contribution: these are the projects of JSC Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant, which is a part of the Mechel Group.
A project for the plant construction to produce soda ash with a capacity of 1 million tons of finished products per year and worth 36 billion rubles was presented at the Eastern Economic Forum.
"The territory of Bashkiria has large reserves of limestone, that is why the region is attractive for both soda and cement producers. Two projects are in the process of elaboration now - cement plants in Trans-Urals and in the north-east of the republic. There are projects in the production of construction materials (Austrian company Lasselsberger producing ceramics), woodworking industry (Austrian company Kronospan). We plan that a cluster formed by companies supporting the activities of the enterprise, and consumers of such products will develop around each such large enterprise", Rustem Mardanov marked.
