Plant to be built at Gumerovskoe deposit in Bashkiria

An agreement on investment intentions was signed between the Ministry of Economic Development of Bashkortostan and Taurus LLC (part of the group of companies TAU LLC) on the sidelines of the 4th Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. Taurus plans to build a plant for the soda ash production with 1 million tons per year capacity in the Sterlitamak district at the Gumerovskoe deposit. The volume of investments is 36 billion rubles, the social effect is a creation of 700 new jobs. The plant to be built from the greenfield stage and should start operating in 2022.

In August 2018 the project was included in the list of priority investment projects of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Ministry of Economic Development RB reports.

"The products of Taurus LLC will be in demand among the enterprises in the sphere of glass production, chemical, food, petrochemical and oil refining industry", said during the presentation the Taurus project manager Oleg Vasiliev.

The meeting also discussed issues of state support that the government of the republic would provide to the investor: tax incentives, land preferences, assistance in the construction of engineering infrastructure and assistance in joining federal and regional funds.

The TAU group of companies unites more than 20 enterprises and firms of the petrochemical complex, food industry, healthcare sector, social and cultural sphere, sports. The largest of them are “UK TAU NefteKhim” LLC, JSC “Sintez-Kauchuk”, JSC “Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant”.
