Bashkiria participates in 4th Eastern Economic Forum

The delegation of Bashkortostan led by the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic Rustem Mardanov takes part in the Eastern Economic Forum, which opened today in Vladivostok on September 11. This platform, established by the Decree of the President of Russia in 2015, discusses key issues of the world economy, regional integration, development of new industries and technologies.

Today the delegation of Bashkortostan meets with the management of the Tau group of companies, PhosAgro and the Japanese conglomerate Hitachi, Ltd, discusses with them the issues of implementing investment projects in the territory of the republic, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development RB reports.

The forum's events take place in the format of panel sessions, roundtables, TV debates, business breakfasts, and business dialogues. At the forum, a meeting will be held with representatives of Russia's leading partner countries in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as ASEAN members. The participants will discuss the new geopolitics and development of economic cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region, the development of trilateral cooperation between Russia, South Korea, and the DPRK, as well as digital economy and high-tech projects in the Far East.

This year more than six thousand people have declared their participation in the forum; they are representatives of more than 60 countries. The President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, the President of Mongolia Haltmagiin Battulga and the Prime Minister of South Korea Lee Nak YeonAmong are among the foreign guests of the forum.

On the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum, an agreement on investment intentions has been already signed between the Ministry of Economic Development of Bashkortostan and Taurus LLC.
