New cars have risen in price in Russia

UFA, 5 September 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Five auto groups - GM, Land Rover, Ford and Mazda - are raising prices for new cars. The growth will be from 1 to 5 percent, according to Vedomosti. Analysts explain the rise in prices by several factors: an increase in utilization and excise duties, an increase in VAT, a fall in the ruble against the dollar and the euro.

While not all automakers are raising prices: in particular, LADA, Renault and Nissan decided not to do this. However, representatives of companies noted that the cost of cars "will have to be raised a little", if the European currency reaches 79 rubles.
