Grain harvest in Bashkiria exceeded 1.5 million tons

UFA, 28 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. By August 28, agrarians of Bashkiria harvested 1.546 million tons of grain. The average yield is 19.7 centners per hectare, the Ministry of Agriculture of the region reported.

Currently, 44 percent of cereals and leguminous crops have been harvested in the republic. Total, this is 783 thousand hectares.

"Absolute leadership is held by Chekmagush district, where 88 thousand tons of grain have been threshed at a yield of 32.6 centners per hectare. Quite good indicators on the yield of crops are also observed in the Karmaskaly and Chishmy districts - 26.5 and 25.8 centners per hectare, respectively. The grain growers of Sterlitamak and Ilishevo districts are among the leaders in the gross grain threshing with 83 and 75 thousand tons of grain, respectively", the press secretary of the Bashkortostan agrarian department Almaz Galimov informs.
