More than 100 dumps are to be liquidated in Bashkortostan

More than 3,000 waste accumulation sites are planned to be built in the republic, 108 dumps are to be liquidated and reclaimed until the end of the year. This was discussed at a meeting of the Government RB regarding the social and economic development of the region in the first half of 2018, conducted by the Head of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government - Minister of Agriculture RB Ilshat Fazrakhmanov reminded that since 2019 all the subjects of the Russian Federation should switch to a new system for solid municipal waste handling.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan - Minister of Land and Property Relations of the region Evgeny Guriev, a single tariff for a new utility service - solid municipal waste treatment - is planned to be established in the republic by the end of the year. It will include the costs of export, sorting, disposal, decontamination of solid municipal waste.

Earlier, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov stated that the republic was ready to switch to a new system for domestic waste handling.
