Bashkiria will send grain for export by water

UFA, 27 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Grain from the Ilishevsky Elevator will be transported for export to the port of Novorossiysk by water. Currently, the issue of purchasing ships is being decided. This was stated at a briefing session in the Government of Bashkortostan by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.
"A consistent work has been conducted to restore the sale of grain for export by water - from the Ilishevsky Elevator", the Deputy Prime Minister said. "We are negotiating the purchase of our own vessels in order to carry the grain from Ilish to Novorossiysk by two-thousand tons vessels, four-thousand tons vessels". This will significantly reduce logistics costs. According to Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, the cost of grain transportation by rail is 3-3.5 thousand rubles per ton, by water - 1.5 thousand rubles.
Ilishevsky Elevator LLC receives the grain from the enterprises of the Ilishevo, Dyurtyuli, Bakaly districts of Bashkortostan, as well as nearby districts of Tatarstan. The total elevator-storage capacity is 142 thousand tons. The elevator has its own berth on the left bank of the Belaya River. Currently, the length and depth of the berthing facility allow accommodating ships with a carrying capacity of up to two thousand tons.
