Ufa station and airport reconstruction is dedicated to 100th republic’s anniversary in Bashkiria

In Bashkortostan, the State Transport Committee RB prepares four objects of road and transport infrastructure for the 100th anniversary of Bashkortostan. The reconstruction of the Ufa railway station is nearing completion. Russian Railways plans to complete construction of engineering networks, the arrangement of the territory, reconstruction of an underground pedestrian crossing and platforms No. 2 and No. 3 till the end of 2019, with their adaptation for the needs of people with limited mobility. In addition, the underground pedestrian crossing will be extended; a new passenger platform No. 4, a hotel and an underground protective structure will be built there.

The Government of the republic is considering to allocate 46.5 million rubles from the Republican Targeted Investment Program for the completion of the station reconstruction.

Also, works are underway to reconstruct a domestic flights terminal of the Ufa airport. As a result of them, it is planned to increase the capacity from 600 to 1200 passengers per hour, to expand the landside area and the entrances to the terminal.

Within the framework of the republic's century, works are underway to build the road part of the River Belaya embankment.

The jubilee objects also include the construction of the Birsk-Tastuba-Satka road with a bridge across the Ufa river with a length of 10 km and a width of the roadway - 12 m. The construction of the highway assumes revitalization of the northeastern regions’ economy, attracting investments. Completion of works on the right bank of the River Ufa is planned this year.
