Bashkortostan Government is concerned about meat production volumes

Meat production in Bashkortostan in the first half of the year decreased by 6%, or by 8.6 thousand tons. The reason was a liquidation of the Mazhit Gafuri Bashkir Poultry Complex of Meleuz district, which accounted for more than seven thousand tons of meat. This was announced today at a meeting of the Government RB by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.

"Today the facility is suspended from operation; it is under an arbitration management. Debts are about 16 billion rubles", said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Mazhit Gafuri Bashkir Poultry Complex ("Indyushkin" brand) until last year was one of the largest producers of turkey meat in Russia. The owners of the company are entrepreneurs Marsel Yusupov and Damir Kamilov. In March, an inspection procedure was introduced at the enterprise on the initiative of the tax authorities.
