Tax revenues to Bashkortostan budget grew by 21 billion rubles - Rustem Khamitov

UFA, 23 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Bashkortostan has become one of the leaders in the country in terms of tax revenues growth to the budget. This was announced at a meeting of the Government RB dedicated to the results of the socio-economic development of the republic for the first half of 2018 by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov.
“Over the first half of the year, the budget received more than 114 billion rubles in revenues - by 21 billion rubles more than the last year,” said the head of the region, adding that in terms of growth rates the republic had risen from the 60th position to the second in the country for a year.
Rustem Khamitov noted that these results were achieved, including through the receipt of a profit tax from the Bashneft Company. In addition, income from personal income tax increased by 1.6 billion rubles.
In March 2018, Bashneft transferred to the budget of Bashkortostan a profit tax of 16.5 billion rubles. The republic owns 25 percent of stake in the company. Earlier Rustem Khamitov stated that Bashneft transferred almost 30 percent of tax and non-tax revenues to the region.
In early 2017, the Republic of Bashkortostan and PJSOC Rosneft entered into an Agreement aimed at implementing industrial, financial, social programs by the parties to promote the integrated development of the region, as well as creating favorable conditions for economic activities. In May 2018, at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov and Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin signed an additional agreement aimed at expanding cooperation in the social development of the region.
