Deposits with local banks decreased by 21.5% in Bashkiria - Deposit Insurance Agency

UFA, 23 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The Deposit Insurance Agency published data on regional banks for the first half of the year. Three Bashkir banks were registered in the deposit insurance system: Promtransbank, Roskomsnabank, Sotsinvestbank. The volume of deposits in them from January 1, 2018 to July 1 decreased from 41.698 billion to 32.716 billion (- 21.5%).

96.6% of deposits in local banks of Bashkiria were created in rubles, 3.4% - in foreign currency.

Large deposits show the best indices in the Volga Federal District: the number of deposits ranging from 1.4 million to 3 million rubles increased by 4.7%, from more than 3 million rubles - by 9.8%. Small deposits decreased.

In the first half of the year, 49 banks of the Volga Federal District reduced interest rates on deposits, nine banks left their rates unchanged and three banks raised them. The average level of interest rates for July 1 for annual ruble deposits of 1 million rubles is 6.1% (decreased by 0.8 p.p. in the first half of the year).

The participation in the insurance system is mandatory for all banks that work with private deposits. The maximum amount of insurance compensation now is 1.4 million rubles.
