Ufa Airport passenger traffic reached two million people

Compared to 2017, this indicator was achieved a month earlier. By chance, Venera Farkhutdinova, a passenger of the Red Wings airline became a lucky person, the press service of the Ufa air hub reported.

As a gift from the Ufa airport, Venera Farkhutdinova received souvenirs and a certificate for a free parking space for a period of three months. The "Red Wings" company handed her over a flight certificate on the route Ufa-Moscow (round-trip).

"As a result of 2017, the passenger traffic of the Ufa Airport reached a historic high of 2.81 million people. This year, we plan to break our own record and serve a three millionth passenger", says Alexander Andreev, the general director of the Ufa International Airport.

According to the results of the first half of the year, the passenger traffic increased by 21%, compared to the same period of the previous year. The number of departures increased by 11%, total, 7,800 takeoffs and landings were made. The volume of traffic on domestic flights exceeded the indicator of the previous year by 16%, on international air routes - by 46%.

As the press-secretary of the Ufa Airport Tatiana Rizvan reported, passenger traffic to Turkey has grown on international routes - more than eight departures per day are made.

"The geography of flights over Russia expanded too: Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Sochi, Simferopol, Anapa. There is a steady demand for flights to southern destinations. The number of flights to Novosibirsk and Batumi has increased", Tatiana Rizvan informed.
