Bashkortostan in top regions on new passenger cars sales

Bashkiria is in the top five of the leading regions in terms of new passenger cars market volume in the first half of the year, Autostat analysts found out. During this time, 27.2 thousand new cars were sold in the republic – by 15% more than in the same period of 2017.

The largest regional market - Moscow showed the same trend: plus 15%, 112 thousand cars were sold for six months. The car market of the Moscow region grew by 15.4% to 61.6 thousand. The top three leaders also include St. Petersburg - plus 13.4%, 51.6 thousand new cars. These three regions form almost one-third of the entire Russian market, analysts say.

Tatarstan and Bashkortostan are leading among the non-capital entities. Our neighbors sold 33,4 thousand new cars for half a year - it is by 5,9% more than in January-June of the last year.
