Agricultural news: about 1/5 areas have been harvested

UFA, 15 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. In mid-August, the harvest was collected at 1/5 of the acreage, the Ministry of Agriculture RB reports. This is about 380 thousand hectares of grain and leguminous crops. The average yield of grain this season is by 1.4 centner/hectar lower than the last year and amounts to 21.3 centner/hectar.

The department plans to collect at least 3 million tons of grain. A rare harvest of 3.9 million tons was collected during the campaign-2017. For comparison: a breadbasket of the nation - Kuban last year collected more than 10 million tons of grain of mainly bakery varieties, with an average yield of 65 centners per hectare.
