Bashkortostan intensified foreign trade

The foreign trade turnover in the region of Bashkortostan Customs activity in the first half of the year increased by 9.7%, compared to the level of January-June last year, to 2 billion 688 million US dollars. The trade balance is positive - about 1.8 billion dollars, it is stated in the statistical materials of the customs service.

The republic is trading more actively with foreign countries (exports - $ 1.56 billion, imports - $ 395 million) than with the CIS countries ($ 667 million and $ 68 million, respectively). Exports are mainly fuel and energy products ($ 1.3 billion), chemical products and rubber (386 million), machinery products (349 million). Machine-building ($ 262 million) and chemical (91 million) products are primarily imported.

The three major partner countries of Bashkortostan in terms of trade turnover include Latvia ($ 453 million), Belarus (412 million) and China (290 million).
