Bashkortostan is in top ten regions in terms of construction volumes - Rustem Khamitov

UFA, 10 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The Republic of Bashkortostan is one of the ten leading regions in Russia in terms of construction works. This was announced by Rustem Khamitov during a solemn awarding ceremony dedicated to the Day of the Builder.

“Our republic has always been and will be one of the ten largest regions of the country in terms of construction works volume,” said the head of Bashkortostan. “In addition to housing and production facilities, gas networks and other industrial facilities are constructed here. Certainly, we will continue to increase the construction of health, education, culture and sports facilities. Only last year we opened nine new schools and 16 kindergartens.”

According to Bashkir Statistics Agency, total since the beginning of the year 114 residential buildings and 263 non-residential buildings have been put into operation in the republic. Among the social facilities, there are kindergartens, one culture institution, a sports and recreation complex, a swimming pool, a sports hall, a shopping, and entertainment center with an area of 12,000 square meters, a shopping and business center with an area of 408 square meters. Besides, 46.8 km of gas networks, 39.8 km of water pipelines were also put into operation.
