Bashkiria Residents can receive parcels and registered letters at Russian Post without notifications and passports

UFA, 8 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Now you can receive packages and registered letters that do not require payment using SMS service. The service was introduced in all post offices of the country, the Bashkir branch of the Russian Post reported. The process of parcels reception according to this technology takes no more than a minute.
The service is provided free of charge on the basis of a registration form filled in on the official website of the Russian Post or in a post office. It specifies a passport data and a mobile phone number of a client. To confirm the identity of the client, it will be necessary to present the passport to the operator once.
Now while receiving a parcel, the client simply needs to tell the operator his/her surname, first name, and patronymic or tracking number of the parcel, so that the employee finds it in the database. After that, the client tells his phone number, to which the operator sends a confirmation code. The recipient will receive an SMS (or push notification to users of the Russian Post mobile application) with a confirmation code that will be communicated to the post office operator for receiving a letter or parcel.
