Bashkiria entered Top-5 by number of individual investment accounts

UFA, 8 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Bashkiria entered the Top-5 in terms of the individual investment accounts quantity, the National Bank RB reported. As of July 1, 2018, 11,911 individual investment accounts were opened in the republic, according to the Moscow Stock Exchange. Also, the top five included Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and the Sverdlovsk region.

In general, at the beginning of July, 224,216 individual investment accounts were opened with professional participants of the securities market in Russia - by 50% more than in the first half of 2017. The volume of funds attracted to individual investment accounts also increased: from 21.8 billion rubles to 54.1 billion rubles. The average amount of assets in individual investment accounts was about 240 thousand rubles.

The structure of individual investment accounts has undergone some changes. If earlier government bonds prevailed in the portfolio, in the first half of 2018 most investors preferred to invest in mutual investment funds - almost 40% of the total portfolio volume. Bonds amounted to 24.6%, shares – to 23%.
