More than quarter million tons of grain were threshed in Bashkortostan

UFA, 7 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. On August 6, agrarians of Bashkortostan cut 101 thousand hectares of crops, of which 83 thousand hectares – were threshed, the Ministry of Agriculture RB reports.

Gross grain threshing amounted to 263 thousand tons, including 234 thousand tons of winter rye, wheat, and triticale.

Among spring crops, barley is actively harvested now, 19 thousand tons of which were threshed, and 9 thousand tons of peas.

Durtuyli, Alsheevo, Zianchurino and Kuyurgazy districts are leading in terms of harvesting, where from 15 to 17 percent of areas with grain and leguminous crops were threshed.
