Bashkortostan agriculture is to be digitized

The Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov said this during a roundtable devoted to the agricultural goods production and sale. The event was held within the framework of the "Field Day-2018" seminar-meeting.

The head of Bashkortostan recalled that the agro-industrial complex implied working with a huge array of data that should be constantly collected, processed and analyzed. For this purpose, the Ministry of Agriculture RB is working on the creation of agricultural geo-information system (GIS). The whole information about the agro-industrial complex of the region is supposed to be on the map of the republic - regarding human resources and enterprises, cultivated crops, used machinery and much more.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB - Agriculture Minister Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, now all figures on the state of agriculture in the region are collected manually - specialists in local administrations themselves call the agricultural producers to obtain data. After the introduction of the GIS, all information will be collected through individual accounts.

Another important element of agriculture digitalization should be ERP-systems application, the head of Bashkortostan noted. It is a modern management system of financial, human and other resources of the enterprises. Its implementation will allow reducing agricultural producers' expenditures to 10-30 percent.
