Bashkortostan residents flying abroad can declare exported things via Internet

UFA, 2 July 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. A new technology of electronic declaring goods for personal use began to be applied at the customs post of Ufa Airport. "The main point is that a passenger who submitted an electronic declaration will spend less time at the checkpoint", explained Alexander Lopukhov, the head of the customs control department of Bashkortostan customs.

The "Passenger Declaration" service was created on the Federal Customs Service website. After filling in the document is assigned a unique identification number (UIN), which will need to be reported to an inspector at the checkpoint. The term of the UIN validity is 30 days.

The electronic declaring of exported things has been launched so far in a pilot mode. Passengers must complete a declaration if their baggage exceeds 50 kg, or its value is more than 10 thousand euro, or the exported cash exceeds 10 thousand dollars, in case of cultural valuables, weapons, alcohol, and tobacco products export in excess of the established rate.

And it is reminded here how in the next few years an amount of duty-free import will decrease.
