598 projects were implemented under Local Initiatives Support Program in Bashkiria

UFA, 28 June 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. 598 projects of a local scale for the amount of 605 million rubles were implemented within the framework of the Republican Program for of Local Initiatives Support and 2,500 local problems were solved. Results and prospects of proactive budgeting development were considered yesterday at a meeting of a working group at the Government of Bashkortostan.

"Most of the projects concern the repairs of educational institutions and roads - these are undisputable leaders from year to year. The third place differs in the countryside and in the city: the rural residents preferred to make water supply facilities, and the townspeople preferred to invest in children's and sports grounds", said Azat Yangirov, director of the Institute for Strategic Studies of the Academy of Sciences RB.

In addition, projects related to the improvement and repair of recreation and cultural centers entered the first five priority projects among the population. The scientist paid attention to the increased activity of the residents of the republic. More than 850 final meetings of the population were held, in which more than 65 thousand residents of the republic took part and discussed more than 2,5 thousand problems.

The next round of Local Initiatives Support Program-2019 to be started in October this year.
